    The Tuareg are Berber people with a traditionally nomadic pastoralist lifestyle. They are the principal inhabitants of the Saharan interior of North Africa.  They are sometimes referred to as “the blue people” in reference to the indigo dyed blue clothing worn by men that stain their skin.
