These delightful seedpod giraffes are too cute! "Twiza" (the word for giraffe in Shona, the language of the people of Zimbabwe) and her baby are looking sharp with their long legs and graceful in their elegant pose. Their bodies are made from the fallen seedpod of the star chestnut tree and their legs, neck and head are crafted from wire putty and natural materials. Each giraffe is carefully hand painted to reflect the beauty and majesty of this African jewel!
Raina Mazwiembiri and her two daughters make these seedpod animals using pods that they collect with their families from local trees. The women hand paint each to create these unique birds.
I absolutely love these birds and giraffe. The are so intricate. Really like looking at them, puts a smile on my face.
Great turn around time and shipping.
