There's nothing quite like these adorable and authentic seedpod animals to bring some whimsy into your home or garden! This fun Hoopoe was made using the seedpods of the Ulumbu Tree (Sterculia rogersii). Standing on hand twisted wire feet, it is between 3-4" tall and is hand painted in the rich bright colors of its traditional plumage. How cute!
Raina Mazwiembiri and her two daughters make these seedpod birds using pods that they collect and wire for the feet. The women hand paint each to create these unique birds from Zimbabwe, Africa.
Really cute and well made, not as large as I had hoped for, but they go well on top of a stack of books.
I love the ingenuity of this family of women. I keep expanding my collection and sharing them as gifts to friends.
I’m love these birds, I have quite a few and none disappoint me.
I’m a bird fancier and these two birds are a wonderful addition to my home.
Not as pictured. Quality just okay. A bit disappointing.
